The Jackson Backcountry Rescue Sled is designed for the winter backcountry traveler. In the scenario where a party member is no longer able to travel out under their own power, this sled will significantly streamline your travel. Included are the sled, a rigging ribbon, and a hauling cord, which are all designed with high function, and minimal weight in mind. The hauling points

are designed to distribute the weight across the fabric, and it’s all symmetrical so orientation doesn’t matter. The hauling cord is thin, but incredible strong. It can be used to accommodate single or multiple people pulling, or along the side of the sled to help in case of a cross hill scenario. The patient can be wrapped up for environmental protection, or it can be laid out over a hole in the snow to create a shelter. The sled can be used for technical lowers, but the patient should always have an independent connection the lowering system, in case of any failure.
